Thanks for stopping by to check out some of my work.
I've been a passionate writer for as long as I can remember. I have a large stack of journals I kept in elementary through high school. As a kid, I entered writing contests and even won a few trips (much to my parents' delight), including Mexico, Washington D.C. and Yosemite. As I grew up, I wrote poetry in my free time, read a ton of books, and in college I completed a news internship at KTLA. When I started grad school, I also wrote for a Japanese American newspaper. I kept that freelance job for nearly a decade while working full-time, because I loved it and it kept me rooted in the local community.
As a professional writer I've worked in different industries, with the common ground being that I love to tell a good story and deliver exceptional content experiences. Whether it's breathing new life into a brand, helping a nonprofit get the word out about their mission, or turning technical concepts into human ones, I have an innate passion for storytelling.
When I'm not working, I'm spending time with family, exploring new places, or traveling to favorite destinations. I also have a flock of backyard chickens, and they have their own social media channels :)
